Liongate: Dear Mr. Martiné, thank you for taking the time to discuss your experiences with remote teaching and the use of vicole. What experiences and insights have you gained while using vicole?
Mr. Martiné: We are very satisfied with using vicole. vicole runs technically stable and performant, as you would expect from major, well-known video conferencing systems. Furthermore, we are confident that using vicole complies fully with data protection regulations, especially in the school context where sensitive personal data is involved. The interface and user guidance are appealing and well-suited for school use. What impresses us most is the professional and highly personal support from the LionGate AG team. Real people sit at the hotline and always find solutions for our often individual and specific problems.
Liongate: From your perspective, which features of vicole would you highlight as indispensable?
Mr. Martiné: We were very pleased to see that vicole now also supports virtual backgrounds directly in the browser. This is especially useful in home schooling and works very reliably. It helps many participants feel comfortable turning on their camera, which is pedagogically important. With vicole, it is now also possible to securely send links to a conference directly, which is very helpful for information events. The ability to create and conduct ad-hoc surveys directly in the classroom is very practical and opens up new possibilities for teaching. Overall, it is clear that vicole benefits from the active and lively open-source community around BigBlueButton and Nextcloud, and that the LionGate developers have a deep understanding of the specific requirements in the school context.
Liongate: Mr. Martiné, thank you again for your time and for the open discussion. We wish you continued enjoyment using vicole.
