LionGate AG and Lana Labs GmbH announced a partnership at the end of the year. The two companies complement each other perfectly and combine the consulting expertise of LionGate with the strong process mining competence of Lana Labs in order to generate real added value for the customer through process mining.

LionGate AG, the partner for digitalization and cloud solutions provider from Munich, and Lana Labs GmbH, a spin-off of the Hasso Plattner Institute, want to work together to make their customers’ processes more efficient. As part of this cooperation, LionGate acts as implementation partner and consultant for the process mining solution “LANA Process Mining”.

Uncover vulnerabilities within the process chains

LANA Process Mining makes it possible to uncover potential weaknesses and risks in business processes. This eliminates the need for costly manual process analysis. LANA supports customers in exploiting the potential of digitalization and in analyzing and optimizing processes comprehensively – across disciplines and beyond previous “process goggles” with actual data.

The market research institute Gartner has identified Process Mining as a trend topic for 2019 and described Lana Labs as “innovative new entrant in this market”. Gartner expects process mining to become a key factor in data processing, data analysis and business process management. It should be emphasized that, as a rule, no adaptations to established systems or data suppliers are necessary – state-of-the-art data extraction technology derives the process flows from existing data structures.

LionGate AG’s expertise enables LANA Process Mining to be integrated efficiently and uncomplicatedly into the customer’s IT infrastructure, and the implementation to be tailored to the customer’s needs. Data-generated process models eliminate the need for time-consuming process workshops for recording actual processes. This allows the customer’s employees to concentrate on improving the processes together with regard to the target process world after a short start-up time.

Proof of Concept as an introduction to the world of Process Mining

LionGate uses the following procedure for this purpose. First, a Proof of Concept (PoC) is carried out on the basis of a sub-process and the customer’s employees are introduced to the methodology and tooling. In the process, previous “process silos” are dissolved and problem areas as well as optimization possibilities are uncovered at the earliest opportunity. The advantages and potentials that can be achieved with Process Mining are shown to the customer at the “living object”.

The customer is enabled to analyse processes himself in the future

In the further course of the project, the customer is enabled to use the Process Mining methodology independently. Lana Labs and LionGate accompany the customer on this path with consulting, training and education. In this way, the customer can optimize and digitize his processes sustainably through process mining.
